"Tradition of Theotokos' Adoration in Orthodox Church"

Many  ecclesiastical as well as secular scientists study historic, theological, hymnographical questions and the issues of ecclesiastical art and writing connected with Theotokos in Orthodox Church.

International Symposium - "Tradition of Theotokos' Adoration in Orthodox Church" -  is planned to be held in Tbilisi in May (presumably 12-19 May), 2014 with the  blessing of  His Holiness and Beatitude the Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, Archbishop of Mtskheta-Tbilisi and Metropolitan of Bichvinta and Tskhum-Abkhazia - Ilia II.

For centuries there have been many cases of visions and miracles connected with Saint Mary Theotokos Mother Of God in our churches, monasteries and on the sacred places; many wonder-worker icons of Mother of God were revealed.

We think that interchange of our churches' experience connected with adoration of Saint Mary Theotokos Mother of God will enrich us informatively as well as spiritually.

According to the Symposium Program, it is planned to visit and see the robe of Theotokos and other clearness and saint places connected with Mother of God.

Please confirm us your participation in the Symposium and send us a presumable title of your report during a month.

Deadline of sending your papers is 30 October, 2013.

Symposium languages are: Georgian, Greek, Russian and English.

Full texts of papers (ready for publishing) must be sent via e-mail to the Organizing Committee no later than November 1, 2013. Papers should be submitted as a word file, A-4, Times New Roman, 12 font, 1.5 space and should not exceed seven pages. Papers must have adequate English translation.
